Finally a nice riding day! The winds are going to be from the NW @ 7 (max) and the air temp will be about 60 F and not a cloud in the sky….ahhhhhh! I’m going to shoot for 100-120 miles today. No pace set…just peddle and enjoy the scenery. I have all day and I told my wife that I’d be gone most of the day and I made no planes after my ride JUST so I can relax! I’ll have to dress a tad worm, but I will not complain. I’m sure that there are thousands or people today in there basements up north today that would die for a day like today. Tomorrow will actually be nicer…a little warmer and winds @ 3 mph! The route…I’ll head out of PSJ and take HWY 50 to Ft Christmas Rd, Fort Christmas ends at Chuluota to 434….that will take me to 17/92 which goes north to 46 in Sanford, then east 46 all the way to Mims..(I’ll have a slight tailwind on this leg). Once in Mims I’ll take US1 to PJS! The map below kind of put into perspective what that looks like. Yes I am actually going to ride from the bottom right to the upper left and back down!! I’ll laet you know how this all goes when I return!!

Stairmaster...stairmaster, I figured that it was worth mentioning twice because that thing is a killer! But I like that sort of thing. I worked out for 30 minutes on level 11 and did 2760 feet and burnt 560 calories...that is in 30 minutes! A very fast way to burn off some fuel and get a good burn. The veins in my quads were just popping out! This morning’s ride was a tad uneventful. I rode 30 miles in 1 hour and 2 miutes which is a bout average for me now. My MP3 player ran out of battery so I was watching tv. Oh..hum. But a good couple of work outs. I’ll go home tonight and run...not sure but I think outside.

18th of January

Last might I went home and did my dog chores and went to run on the treadmill. I was all by myself in my gym. Anyway, I ran my 4 miles in 36 minutes for a 9 min.mile. Not bad, but I’ll have to start to pick the pace up to the sub 8 min/mile. But for now it will work, I have almost 3 months to work on speed. This morning I had a hard time motivating myself to ride the roller...but I did. I rode my 30 miles in 1 hour and 2 minutes for just over a 29 mph pace. That is good and I can’t complain. I have been sweating like a little piggy though on my roller..more than normal. Maybe I’ll trim down faster. Not that I have that much to loose off of my 132 pound frame! This weekend looks pretty good for some longer rides. Should be warm and the winds should be tolerable....75 degrees and winds 5-11 mph. I’ll plane to a good tail wind on the ride home. I’m excited for a 4-5 hour day in the saddle! That is why I do what I do during the week.
